Growing Instructions: Direct sow in late fall planting just below the surface of rich soil. For spring planting, mix the seeds with moist sand and store in the refrigerator for 2-4 weeks before sowing. Likes sun, moist rich soil, and can tolerate some shade. They can also be started indoors sowing on the surface of a flat and at a temp of 60-65° until germination. Transplant after the threat of frost. These plants are heavy feeders, so sidedress in spring with well-composted manure. Harvest when one quarter of the flowers are open.
